Seriously!

Dunkin Donuts now serves almond milk!

I am so excited. I have been craving an iced pumpkin spice latte for weeks, and I finally got to have one; Dairy free!

(And of course, by one I obviously mean three.)

Before you run out and grab a tasty bev for yourself, I have two bits of advice:

1.) Make sure your barista shakes the box of almond milk before pouring it into your coffee. The last latte I bought wasn't so much creamy as it was filled with lots of little white specks floating around in murky brown liquid. Not so appetizing. I ended up drinking it anyway, but that's not the point! ;)

2.) Double check that your latte actually contains almond milk, and not cream. I'm sure that this isn't true of all Dunkin baristas, but one of the girls at my local shop thought that it was fine not to let me know that there was, in fact, no more almond milk. She took it upon herself to add cream to my coffee instead, and served it to me without letting me know. I took a sip, and immediately noticed the error. I asked her about it and she simply said, "Yeah, we're out of almond milk."

I don't usually like to draw extra attention to my dietary choices when I'm out to eat, but I'm beginning to think that it's important to make servers/baristas/etc aware of any dietary restrictions in order to avoid any mix-ups.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to treat myself to another tasty cup of deliciousness.
