A Fresh Start for Spring
Okay, I can barely stand the excitement. I was going to wait and share later, but I just can't hold it in anymore! We are moving! Yay!
Josh and I have been staying with family for the last 9 months, in order to save money for a new place. Well, we have saved and saved, and here we are - Gearing up to move!
The new place is a small, two bedroom, garden-style apartment. It's simple, bright, and happy, with lots of windows. It is perfect for the three of us; My boyfriend Josh, our dog Suzie, and me! Although the apartment is on the smaller side, there is a significant amount of space for Suzie to hang out and relax. Outside, there is a massive amount of space for her to run around and play. The neighborhood is peaceful and well-kept, complete with sidewalks perfect for evening stolls. I think we're all going to love living there.
This is going to be the perfect opportunity to really dive into the whole vegan-living thing. We'll have empty cabinets, an empty fridge, and an empty pantry; All of which are just begging to be filled with delicious, ethical, and vegan foods and goods.
It has been proving quite difficult to eat a plant based diet while living with other people. If everyone isn't on the same page about it, it tends to become a little difficult to agree on what foods should or should not be kept in the house, or what should be served up for dinner. I think that it will be a lot easier for Josh and I to jump-start (and maintain) a kinder lifestyle in our new place. I can't wait!
Do you have any "can't-live-without-it" recommendations to help us get started on filling up those cupboards? Please leave a comment and let me know. (We're going to need all the help we can get!)
