Welcome to Lifestyles of the Poor and Vegan!  My name is Kristi.

I am working hard to curate a collection of healthy and delicious vegan recipes, helpful reviews, and entertaining tales of my life as a newlywed/aspiring writer and nutritional therapist/work-in-progress/newbie vegan/hippie-at-heart.

I hope this blog inspires you to explore new places, try new foods, experience new things, and more.

New Series: More Music!

New Series: More Music!

Okay, guys and gals. I have some exciting (at least to me) news to share today!

I have decided to start a series called "More Music!" where I will share who and what I'm listening to at the time.

I am a huge music fan. It has always been a big part of my life, so it was only a matter of time before I integrated it into the blog here. I think it's important to keep an open mind, and give music from all genres a chance. I will share links and videos of all sorts of music, and I hope you enjoy the variety! If you have any suggestions, or comments, please share. I am always searching for new music to add to my collection.

And without further ado, here is my favorite song of the day:

Southern Sun by Boy & Bear.

Something about this song makes me feel like cruising down the road with the windows down. I can almost feel the breeze in my hair and smell the fresh summer air.

I saw these guys perform live at Firefly this year, and let me tell you, they are some very talented musicians! They're super cute, too!

Check it out and let me know what you think.

The official video for Boy & Bear's 'Southern Sun' from upcoming album Harlequin Dream.

Do you have suggestions for the next More Music post? What song are you playing on repeat this week? Leave a comment and let me know!
